Suicide : conclusion

Hi friends,
i have already discussed too much about human mental situations. people around the world feels and create a status for themselves. due to some reasons if they have to suffer and their is some degradation by society or close group, then a person is hurt badly and in such situation such issues arises.
Let me clear on more things, many studies propose that such cases can be stopped by identifying that person. but it is not. If a person is sure to commit suicide or such activity, it is almost impossible for anyone to judge their such activity. Here i write not for media, i write for real mental situation of life.

What study reveals:
1. Developed areas are more affected by such cases than developing or undeveloped areas.
2. Below 40 is the stage of life where 90% such activities come in picture.
3. Divorce, dowry, love affairs, cancellation or the inability to get married (according to the system of arranged marriages in India), illegitimate pregnancy, extra-marital affairs and such conflicts relating to the issue of marriage, play a crucial role, particularly in the suicide of women in India.
4. Study suggests that specific focus in suicide prevention strategies should be on the migrant population.
5. Hanging was the commonest method used by the subjects. Some hospital-based Indian studies had revealed that insecticide poisoning was the commonly employed method in committing suicide.
6. The preferred timing is Day time for such actions.

Laws to prevent:
In India, attempted suicide is a punishable offence. Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code states that "whoever attempts to commit suicide and does any act towards the commission of such an offense shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with a fine or with both".

10 th September - World Suicide Prevention Day: The World Suicide Prevention Day was formally announced on 10 th September, 2003. Each year the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) in collaboration with WHO uses this day to call attention to suicide as a leading cause of premature and preventable death. The theme for the year 2007 is " Suicide Prevention-Across the Life Span".

so make your own perception...............................
